Cloud Engineer (AWS-focused, GCP, Containers & Terraform)

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer with a strong AWS focus and additional exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to help design, build, and operate scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platforms. You will work in a complex enterprise environment, supporting multi-cloud strategies while keeping AWS as the primary platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate AWS-based cloud architectures following best practices for security, scalability, and cost efficiency

• Support and integrate GCP services where required as part of a multi-cloud or hybrid setup

• Build and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS; GKE is a plus)

• Develop, maintain, and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines

• Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform across multiple environments and cloud providers

• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve cloud platforms

• Ensure compliance with enterprise security and governance standards

• Maintain technical documentation and architecture diagrams

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer / DevOps Engineer

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, EKS, CloudWatch)

• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GKE, IAM, networking or core services)

• Solid knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)

• Strong expertise in Terraform (modules, state management, best practices)

• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines

• Good understanding of Linux systems, networking, and cloud security principles

Certifications (Preferred)

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional

• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate

• Additional GCP certifications are a plus, but not required

(Certifications are considered a strong advantage but are not mandatory if equivalent hands-on experience is demonstrated.)

Enterprise & Collaboration Tooling

• Experience with Jira and Confluence in agile enterprise environments

• Familiarity with IT service management processes (incident, change, problem management)

• Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, cloud-native tools)

• Experience working in large-scale, cross-functional organizations
